These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out how we provide our products and services (“Services”) to you through our website and online store. When you visit our site, place an order, or interact with us, you agree to these Terms as well as our [Privacy Policy].

We’ve written these in plain language so they’re easy to understand. If you have any pātai (questions), please reach out — we’re here to help.

1. Who we are

Heitiki Books is a kaupapa-led publishing and creative business. When we say “we”, “our” or “us”, we mean Heitiki Books.

2. Using our store

  • You must be the age of majority where you live, or have the consent of a parent/guardian to use our site and place orders.

  • To shop with us, you’ll need to provide accurate details such as your name, email, billing, and shipping info.

  • Please keep your account details safe — you’re responsible for any activity that happens under your login.

3. Our products

  • We work hard to show our books, cards, and resources as accurately as possible, but colours or details may vary slightly depending on your screen/device.

  • Product descriptions may change from time to time. We may also limit or discontinue certain products.

4. Orders & payments

  • When you place an order, you’re making an offer to purchase. We’ll confirm by email once your payment is processed and your order is accepted.

  • Prices are shown in [AUD], and do not include shipping or any customs/import duties.

  • Please double-check your order before completing checkout, as changes may not always be possible.

  • You agree that your order is for personal use and not for resale.

5. Shipping & delivery

  • Orders are usually packed and sent within 5–7 business days.

  • Once we hand your parcel over to the courier or postal service, delivery times are outside our control. Estimated delivery times are:

    • Australia: 5–10 business days (express 2–5)

    • New Zealand: 10–20 business days

    • International: 10–20 business days

  • We’re not liable for delays once parcels are in transit. If your parcel goes missing, please contact us and we’ll do what we can to help.

  • Christmas Cut-Offs 2025: Last day for shipping is Friday 13th December. Orders after this will be sent in January when we return.

6. Refunds & returns

  • Because our products are printed resources, we don’t offer refunds for change of mind.

  • If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days with your order details and photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

7. Intellectual property

All content on our site — including our books, designs, logos, photos, and text — belongs to Heitiki Books and our collaborators.

  • Our resources are for personal use only unless otherwise stated in the product details (e.g. classroom packs or licensed resources).

  • You may not copy, reproduce, share, or distribute our content for commercial use without written permission.

8. Feedback & reviews

We love hearing from you! By sending us feedback, reviews, or ideas, you agree that we can use them (for example, in promotions or to improve our mahi) without needing to compensate you.

9. Third-party services

Our store is powered by Shopify. Sometimes we link to other sites or services. We’re not responsible for those external websites, so please check their policies if you choose to use them.
